Yeah I decided to forget about the grind altogether. I’ll find fun in whatever way I can. It’s only when I want to play alongside my friends that I start to lose interest in a game. Now that I don’t care about it, I’ll just play for fun and quit when there is none. Simple really.

I enjoy having multiple characters at a variety of levels. I can see more of the game by playing Alliance and Horde. And maybe someday if the game is fun enough I’ll make it to 60. But if not, no big deal - I had some fun on the way.

Glad to hear that you’re not trying to grind to 60 as fast as possible. I’m enjoying taking as much damned time I want (hell, I’ve been level 36 for several days and I’ve hardly tried to level up). Only thing I worry about it getting too low below my friends. After all, it’s much more fun and better to just get on and go create an instance group with them without have to shout forever asking for a group.

Now if only I could find a good guild.

the Barrens is a visully boring area though, compared to almost any other place. Ratchet is cool though, I agree. Swim over to the small waterfall just a few feet north of ratchet. There should be a treasure chest in the water, unless someone else finds it first.
Interestingly, I found the chest with my Alliance char, but it has not been there for my Ho char 2 times. So I am curious if you find it. I wonder if it is Alli only.

Pick up fishing and fish for Deviate fish in the 3 lakes surrounding Crossroads. You can sell stacks of 20 for about 1G.
