I grab my patches from somewhere else like F13 or The Cesspit (links on the left). The Blizzard downloader is a shameful bit of work and they should spend a little money fixing one of the things they did worse than almost any other dev team. Was this from patching? So if you have access to another set of CDs, you might want to try that...or you can try downloading one of the "free trials" that have been going around (http://dnet.3dgamers.com/promotions/worldofwarcraft/trial/trial.aspx for example).
