I will adress to the kindness of 38 pr people and ask : its been 1 month in 2010 when are u going to unveil the sevensealed secret ? By some quick calculations and after counting the staff which are 71 and by having 21 open spots i draw the conclusion that you are speeding up things... 90+ members on your staff and you still havent reached the point where you think its safe to start speaking about the game?
What the hell ? Do you want to complete it first and then say ,,,Err , earth calling to fans , 1, 2 ,1 , 2 we would like to inform you that the game is complete after 1 trillion hours and 250 million dolalrs . Start battling your way into the head start ,preorders are up to 500.000 . Thanx .

[...Clarification: “Copernicus” is not the working title, it is the code name. We use that for both internal reference and, more importantly, external reference so as not to give away what the game really is all about.

To save yourself some brain pains, I’d suggest not reverse engineering “Copernicus” because it will lead you down all the wrong paths. As it is not the working title, we don’t intend to actually use it as the title (or as part of it) for the game.

From what I know, I think it was used when referring to the game at CES and got misinterpreted as the working title rather than just the code name. I blame KTR....]

We just like starting rumors.

By the way, did you hear 38 Studios is making a sequal to Barbie World Online?

All I know is that RA Salvatore is a part of this project which spells good things, I think. Never read a book of his that I did not like, now I can only hope that he brings that to the game. Hell, his writing was the only brite spot in that xbox action rpg game.

And the predictions for 2008 start to be proven...

And it is good that they will have book tie-ins, because I actually find that a sort of lost portion of games currently. Sure, there are tie-ins to games like Warcraft, but so far they have been fairly forgettable titles.

Warhammer Online, and EA Mythic, has the luck of falling into a pretty robust set of books already in circulation and they can easily pile on with Warhammer Online themed books. However, due to sacrifices in lore to make the game, I sense the Online-based books will not be as good, even if the same authors pen them.

For 38 Studios, they are going to have complete control over the lore, so I suspect that will make the books fit tighter. However, I worry with R.A. in the stead, because I have felt he has been approaching his work as an industrial machine rather than a creative talent. He's penned a ton of turds IMHO, but has also written my favorite D&D character ever.

Dammit! I was getting excited for a new Catholic MMO. I even had a backstory written for my Inquisitor.

Maybe to stop the confusion change the name to "cybercat atitd"

I think it is just a reference to them completely changing the way things are done. Looking at something from a totally different direction than what has been assumed to be the only way.

Insert joke about Baseball MMOG here.

I dunno, this is interesting. Copernicus certainly points to a space or celestial based theme. Perhaps it is a science MMO, or a sailing MMO, or an MMO about catholicism!

:)

I bet the budget is going to be insanely big, hollywood large.
