I find quite amusing when people are all capitalist and social darwinist in real life (don’t know if there are such people in this blog, though) cry a river when they are steamrolled by someone stronger in… a… bloody… game”

Part of the reason capitalism can work is precisely because there are consequences to actions. Eve is not “real” by any stretch of the imagination whatsoever. In real life, if I steal from my neighbor in America I might get sued, in some other countries I might get killed. That won’t happen in eve.

Yes, that is what EVE Online is all about. Creating, destroying, making friends, making enemies, getting revenge, spying and stealing, etc. That is how it works. BoB chose to play the villain and they made enemies. Enemies get revenge and cheer. Now it is the Goons turn to watch their back as I’m sure BoB and others want to put them down as well. Love it or hate it, that is EVE.

I’m not entirely sure what keeps BoB’s players and member corps from reforming? You can kill the name ‘Band of Brothers’, but you can’t kill the players or the social capital between them like that.
