The above posts matches exactly what happened on ForumFall. AV use to not say a word about changes (not even posting the actual patch notes), and people bitches that there was zero communication.

They create the Spotlight section and hired community people. Initially everyone was happy and amazed at the new communication, and finally AV was ‘getting it’.

Fast forward an expansion, and now its “a whole week without a concrete update, wtf is AV doing!?”. Hell even when they DO provide an update half the replies are “wtf is this, why are you not talking about this feature!?”.

You really can’t win, at least not with everyone. I always enjoy any update, in part because I like watching the process of MMO evolution, but it can’t be easy for the devs to see the same people who asked for updates now bitch about getting those updates.

Mmmm…sounds like Craig Morrison’s twitter account.

Seeing the game is on a good “6 months between patching” schedule, guess he needs to do something while waiting for the few interns to finish the next update.

Teases are the norm for anything out of Funcom actually.
