The War Z has been pulled from Steam. It has politely been described as “a scam,” “blatant fraud,” and “the most shameless, amateurish cash grab I’ve ever played.” This last came from a friendly reviewer, and he has the best summary of the situation.
But the usual holiday Steam sale is going, as is Humble Indie Bundle 7, which includes Dungeon Defenders with all DLC, if you were curious about that. Steam already convinced me not to buy things anywhere below 50-75% off unless I want to play it today; Humble Bundles may push me further down that slope.

So I may be behind the times here or something, but WarZ is made by the same people who made War Inc?!? Wow.
As someone who played War Inc for a number of months and was semi-active on their forums… yeah… Stay away from WarZ. They are some of the worst, least professional, developers I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Any criticism, or even simple suggestions and bug fixes (“hey, this menu has a misspelling”) was met with at worst hostility and at best indifference; and if they could, they’d always try and turn it around to blame the player. And just like that fa***t comment, there was a fair amount of swearing and insulting of the players back then too.
I don’t say this often, but I really hope they fail, and fail hard.
