Humble WB Games Bundle

If you have not yet bought the new Humble Bundle, you can go do so now. Has there been a better one? I considered half the games worth buying at full retail price, and now you can get all six for however much you want to pay.

  • Arkham Asylum GOTY
  • Arkham City GOTY
  • FEAR 2
  • FEAR 3
  • LotR: War in the North
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited

  1. I bought this solely for the LOTR game (I already own the two Batman games on PS3, though there may be DLC I haven’t played in the GOTY editions). That said, I may have been Steam-Saled here in that I don’t know when I’m going to get around to playing this game and if that’s really the only one I use then I might have eventually gotten a similar price as a standalone (see again, Steam). It’s not a discount if you use it to buy stuff you don’t actually want.

    1. Just a warning about War in the North, if you try to play it with friends it has its own built in voice chat which a) is awful and b) can’t be turned off. My friends and I put down $20 a piece for the damn thing and then we couldn’t stomach moving beyond the title screen because we couldn’t stand the voice nonsense.

    2. I played it thru twice – the combat is really enjoyable AND there is a loot fest aspect. Well worth the $20 I paid, but at this price….wow.

  2. Feeling a bit better about this purchase as the obligatory add-ons arrive. It’s now good for $5 worth of TP in LOTRO, and also that LOTRO MOBA knock-off (probably bad but at least now I don’t need to pay if I ever test that theory). So perhaps I’m getting more stuff … that I still probably won’t use. Ah well. Part of my purchase supports charity?
