  1. hehe…the true test of any system and how much power you got…

    Can you download AoC’s trial!

This game has made a major turn around and is worth it if you have the machine to run it.

I recommend the game highly for those looking for next gen fun!

  2. I’ve been waiting for them to either shut it down or fix it. I’m pretty close to signing up for a month to try it again. I had nothing against the game other than all the bugs and glitches. Looked great and was fun to play.

  3. No no no the hard drive space for me is fine. I just have to use DSL because Comcast is incompetent, and downloading 12gb on DSL is not fine. No internet activity for me for a couple days I would assume, all the while my trial time is running up. I didn’t even download the WotLK trial (8-9gb) for the same reason. Damn yous Comcast!

  4. @Zubon: It’s not so much that’s it’s a 12Gb download, it’s more the time invested into downloading the bloody (‘scuse my British) thing.

Also, here in NZ, DSL plans with a 10Gb cap are pretty common, so none of those people will be wanting to try the game out, either.

  5. Actually the trial time can’t start until you’ve made an account for it to track time on, so if you don’t already have one all you need to do is wait until after it’s dled to sign up. And I’m speaking more to the internet at large here, since it seems pretty clear Bonedead’s problem is more about download speed.

Personally, I’ve been wanting to give AoC a try, but just a try, not a full purchase. I’m glad I finally have the chance.

I downloaded the PotBS beta over a 22k/s connection. Haven’t yet checked what level of hell that is.
