My favourite shortcut for drop rates is that after three times the expected number of tries, you have a 95% chance to have seen your item at least once. ex: if it’s a 10% drop rate, after 30 tries there’s only a 5% chance it won’t have shown up at least once.
So as not to be frustrated, that’s the number I check against when determining whether I’m willing to bother with a grind.
