Insurmountable Waist-Height Fence

Guild Wars 2 has vistas and jumping puzzles as Explorer content. And then, because zone design is hard, Guild Wars 2 has invisible walls. There are places where you can sprint up 60+ degree cliffs and places where you cannot reach despite seeing your character jump high enough to get to next platform. “I’ll just hop up this gentle slope. Or I can slide down the cliff and start over, that’s fun too.”

  1. I can put one foot on a fence or beam, with the other one off, which is awesome attention to detail to goggle at. Then again, I can also end up defying gravity by hanging horizontally off a wall attached by seemingly one toeclaw. Just can’t win.

  2. It’s better than TOR, where the same button press combination can add up to “character lightly hops down off of ledge” or “character hovers into the air and may reach next ledge, or bounce in the directly opposite direction because their foot caught the side”.
