I play only at LAN parties, and then I remember what a great game it is. We just need to get teams balanced with roughly equal skill levels, somehow.

Have you seen “DemiGod” from GPG/StarDock? it’s based on DotA…
Yes. League of Legends and Demigod both scheduled for 2009. Woo!
I force myself not to play DoTA now. Every time I log in to b.net and the TDA channel, I end up playing way too much for the next 3-4 months.
I’m worried about games based on DoTA though, as the main reason DoTA works is because of its balance, and that only comes from its huge player base and countless versions. I could see Demigod being horribly imbalanced and cheesy at release.
