The other day, I went to log into my university account (which I haven’t used since April).
After trying every password that I use a dozen times, I gave up and hit the ‘reset password’ link.
After following the prompts, I was asked to select a new password.
I chose my favorite: denied.
I tweaked it to include the characters and capitals it required, and tried again: ‘sorry, this password has been used before’
hrm. i see.
I canceled the reset and tried the password I’d just come up with. It worked.
