I really hope they get their servers working some day so I can come back and feel good about it. But I felt I had to do something. I won’t pay for this level of connectivity any more.
Can’t say that I blame you. My wife and I have been reconsidering CoH, especially since she’s about exhausted Horde and elder game content in WoW (plus guild raid issues with her class, Hunters, etc., etc.).
Today, after dinner, we had to wait 10 minutes to get in because the login server was being flakey. I remember EQ having problems like this, especially after a patch or expansion, but not with this kind of consistency. We looked at each other and asked, “We pay $15 a month for this?” The dearth of content patches and some painful game mechanics have made even EQ look more attractive.
Blizzard may have seen our last monthly fee for a while. We’ll see.
The early morning Tuesday server maintenance is annoying but the only real problem I ever have is getting queued during prime time. I play on Bleeding Hollow and it’s a pretty stable server. Being a Mac user, it’s either this game or back to original EQ in all it’s Mac server only, barely any support, grind til ya puke glory. Vive la WoW!
